Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Apex Studios is both a creative studio and a recovery-centered employer. We specialize in visual storytelling while training and employing individuals in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges.

Our work is rooted in accountability, professionalism, and human connection. We believe that when people are given structure, opportunity, and trust, they rise — and so does the work they create.

Our mission is to elevate people, stories, and communities through photography while creating structured employment and career pathways for individuals in recovery.

Through technical training, creative mentorship, and real-world experience, Apex Studios supports long-term stability, confidence, and reintegration into the workforce. We partner with recovery-friendly organizations and local businesses to reduce stigma and strengthen our local economy.
